Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany - German Unity Day
Published on 14 october 2024On Thursday, 3 October, we were delighted to attend a special event organised by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany on the occasion of the German Unity Day. At the invitation of Ambassador Sylvia Groneick, we gathered at her residence to celebrate this important national holiday together.
German Unity Day, celebrated on 3 October, is a symbol of freedom and peace in Germany and Europe. On this day, we also remember the brave individuals who fought for democracy and freedom more than 30 years ago. On this occasion, Ambassador Groneick stressed the importance of friendship and cooperation between countries, especially with Slovenia.
Despite the inclement weather, the atmosphere in the residence was warm. No bad weather, just bad clothes, proved to be true as the participants gathered in good spirits and with smiles on their faces.
Special thanks go to the Kvorum Parliamentary Choir and the Slovenian Police Orchestra, whose musical performances enriched our reception.
Our cooperation with embassies such as this event is key to building strong international links. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this important celebration and look forward to continuing our cooperation with the German Embassy and other international partners.
We take this opportunity to once again congratulate Germany on the occasion of the German Unity Day and look forward to future meetings and cooperation.
