Fraport Seeking Outright Stake in Ljubljana Airport
Published on 20 january 2015The assembly was held at the initiative of Fraport, which wants to complete its takeover of the operator of the Jože Pučnik Ljubljana Airport started in September last year, when it acquired 75.55% from the state.
It then made an offer to the remaining shareholders at EUR 61.75 per share, as part of which it obtained 22.44% of the outstanding stock to bring its stake up to 97.99% in late November.
In an attempt to become an outright owner, it took a decision at the general assembly to squeeze out the remaining shareholders who own 2.01% by paying them EUR 61.75 per share. The minority shareholders will be sent requests to provide their bank accounts in order to complete the transaction.
Once it completes the squeeze-out of the remaining shareholders, Fraport will have paid EUR 234.4m for the outright stake in Aerodrom Ljubljana.
