Pahor started consultations with parliamentary parties regarding the PM-designate nomination today.

Coming out of the meeting with Pahor, Cerar and Simona Kustec Lipicer, the head of the SMC deputy group, said that the outline of the new coalition would be visible by the end of this week.

Cerar informed Pahor about the progress of coalition talks with the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS), Social Democrats (SD), New Slovenia (NSi) and the Alenka Bratušek Alliance (ZaAB).

The most probable new prime minister told the press that a new government could be sworn in in the second half of September, adding however, that such estimates were uncertain because the process is very complex.

Cerar continues coalition talks and is scheduled to meet the representatives of the NSi and SD in the afternoon and the DeSUS and ZaAB tomorrow.

The president will meanwhile continue his consultations with parliamentary parties, meeting the Democrats (SDS) and DeSUS on Tuesday, before wrapping up with meetings with the SD, NSi, ZaAB, United Left (ZL) and both minority MPs on Wednesday.
