Ski Jumps: Prevc Second in Trondheim

Winning the event with jumps of 135 and 139 metres, Severin Freund of Germany took the overall World Cup lead ahead of Prevc and Stefan Kraft, who fell to third spot after grabbing the lead from Prevc on Tuesday.

Prevc jumped 137.5 and 136 metres today to come second ahead of home favourite Rune Velta, who jumped farthest in the second series at 141.5m after 134m in the first series.

The winner of the Three Hills Tournament, Stefan Kraft was in the lead after the first series (142.5m), but botched the second jump (124m) to finish 9th.

Freund heads the overall World Cup standings at 1,443 points, 34 points ahead of Prevc and 46 points ahead Kraft.

The circuit continues with two events in Oslo at the weekend with the finals in Slovenia's Planica a week later.
