Weather: Snow Storm to Hit North and Central Slovenia

Drivers are advised to caution and the police have pointed out that there are restrictions in place in Slovenia during snowfall that ban semi-trailer trucks from all roads except the motorways. During heavy snowfall these big trucks may also be banned from the motorways, the police added.

The Environment Agency has issued a warning for the coast for Friday and Saturday, as the tide will be higher than usually and the sea may flood low ground along the coast.

Moreover, the Civil Protection and Disaster Relief Administration said that waterways in the south, south-west and east of the country may swell due to precipitation on Friday.
